Transport / Warehouse Supervisor - Bognor Regis, West Sussex.

Acumen Logistics Group is one of the UK’s top 100 logistics companies, providing innovative customer solutions to some of the UK’s most successful companies.

We have recently been successful in being awarded a prestigious long term contract in the West Sussex Area around Goodwood. This includes operating a major support facility (Warehouse) in Bognor Regis and managing all the movement and delivery within the UK of Finished Vehicle Logistics for a prestigious car manufacturer.

We are looking for 2 experienced Transport/Warehouse Supervisors who currently hold HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licenses. They will be report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for ensuring the day to day performance, productivity and efficiency of both the transport and warehouse functions whilst maintaining a high standard of service and delivery throughout the operation.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Managing a small team responsible for day to day transport planning end to end. This includes:

? Transport route planning

? Load building

? System confirmations

? Activity recording and tracking

? Fleet management / utilisation

? Monitoring / Reporting

? Disciplinary process

•Managing a small team responsible for day to day warehouse functions. This includes:

? Overseeing all warehouse functions

? Including Wash and Battery charge

? Activity recording and tracking

? Maintaining the highest standards in the warehouse operation

? Ensure processes and procedures are followed

? Accurate locating of client product within warehouse

? Disciplinary process

•Ensure accuracy of planning and paperwork preparation for operations.

•Ensure all systems are up to date and accurate in line with operational moves.

•Ensure compliance to CAA and Customs requirement for export moves.

•The H&S of the direct reports on site.

•Proactively manage fleet of trucks ensuring legal compliance and operational safety standards are maintained at all times.

•Managing direct reports and staff on shift (c8 to 10)

•Close liaison with Operations manager to ensure client updated at all times

•Driver’s hours’ compliance.

•Some driving duties in the event of operational requirement.

•Direct client liaison and resolution negotiation.

Ideally you should be:

? Hold an HGV Class 1 (C+E) License.

? Highly motivated and able to demonstrate a strong work ethic.

? Experience leading a Transport operation or Warehouse operation.

•Excellent people skills.

•Able to make quick decisions based on sound understanding of the current status.

•Experienced managing people both in the office and on the road.

•Experience of working in road transport or logistics – holder of a current Driver Certificate of professional competence (CPC).

•Familiar with automotive mechanical issues.

•Able and willing to work flexible hours.
